Energy Performance Certificates
Property and Energy Solutions fully trained and accredited EPC Assessor will visit your property and collect the data required for assessing energy features, and generate an Energy Performance Certificate using government-approved software. The assessment is based on the construction and type of dwelling and relevant fittings (heating systems, insulation or double glazing, for example).
An EPC contains information about a property's energy use and typical energy costs, as well as recommendations about how to reduce energy use and save money.
As well as complete a full Energy Performance Certificate for you we can assist and advise on energy efficiencies so that you do achieve a better standard for your EPC.
An EPC Energy Assessment is not a structural or building survey, condition report or property valuation. An EPC should not be read as a comment on the overall condition of the property nor will it comment on the presence or otherwise of any building defects or hazardous materials. It will also not cover items or problems in the property which would be picked up in a building survey, which may be costly to rectify, as these are outside the scope of the data collected.
EPCs are legally required whenever a property is built, sold or rented. You must obtain an EPC for potential buyers and tenants before you market your property to sell or rent.
From 2018 all Energy Performance Certificates must achieve an 'E' minimum standard.
